received your vm the other day..... sorry I did not get back to you in a timely manner....
I won't be able to make the final outing.... conflict with football.... they are actually playing in Paul Brown Stadium (home of Bengals) that Saturday in a Ohio vs USA game.... they are playing a team from SC.... (child's name deleted) is getting a lot of playing time as Tight End & there is no way I can miss this season....
Hope all is well with you & the family.... I've enjoyed the banter of these e-mails..... I will call you later this evening.... driving back home from Chicago.

Also... I won't be able to attend this (Mid-Season) outing.... I'll be in New Orleans w/ my son & 17 other boys from his high school on a service trip..... actually, this is very good news for my liver, but much less so for being able to catch up & see everyone again .....

Not a douche. Nothing wrong with showing up for your kids.
Not a problem showing up for the kids. That is definitely understandable, however if you say you are going to call (not once but twice) you should try to call. If you don't want to call then don't say you will, at aleast apoligize for the no-call with an email. Not a douche because I know how busy it can be keeping up with the kids (and I only have 1) but definitely inconsiderate. (Ras)
